Engaging your core with your stabilizing muscles

(1) LEAN SLIGHTLY FORWARD. (2) FEEL THE FRONT AND INSIDE BALLS OF YOUR FEET. (3) VISUALIZE SQUEEZING THE BALL IN BETWEEN YOUR KNEES. Why? This helps you to stay short and balanced with your stride, prevents lunging and improves core power. You're engaging your core by using your groin/stabilizing muscles, as opposed to bending over your knees, resulting in your weaker extremity muscles taking the weight, disconnecting power from your core - See More At Our New Hitting Checklist Step 1 of 20 Minute Lasers https://thehittingproject.com/20-minute-lasers/step-1/

CHAIN REACTION OF INCORRECT CORE ROTATION

(1) Improper mechanics triggers too much weight on your backside causing a tilt of your hips and shoulders (dipping). Dipping triggers pulling off the ball, reduced bat speed, and contact consistency, as your bat head to drops and you can't reach the outside edge of home plate. (2) The speed of your back foot correlates to bat speed and power. (3) Visualize rotating your back foot from your hips joint; it's the only way to take the weight off your back foot, allowing you to spin on your toes.
