Get More Bat Speed with High Tee Drill

Approach focused high-ball hitting drill

  • Focus on hitting a line drive back up the middle of the hitting cage and keep your head down throughout the entire swing. Don’t try to pull the ball!
  • Try to hit the ball with backspin and watch the trajectory of the ball. If the ball tails it means your dropping the barrel head too much at contact. This is caused by a weak top-hand when hitting the high ball and weak bottom-hand when hitting the low ball.
  • Keep your swing short and hands-inside-the-baseball (back elbow close to your body) to improve bat speed.
  • Stay balanced on the follow through. Falling off-balanced is caused from over-swinging or pulling off the baseball.

LASER Hitting Factory. College Bound

Congratulations to Jack Rubenstein from the LASER hitting factory of Pace Academy. Jack is the first of many LASER prodigies to make the transfer from high school to college baseball, Emory University - Atlanta Georgia. Connected and explosive swing gives Jack a big head start over most college freshmen. Best of luck Jack and with a swing like that we're sure you'll have a great college career. PS, fantastic effort by the super coach Seth La Fera - guiding Jack over the course of the season. After viewing Jack's original LASER Strap video 3 months ago... the swing transition is remarkable. Jack hit with a 250 average and 0 home runs in 2016. In 2017 he hit close to a 350 average and 3 home runs.
